WSOP Super Circuit Canada Championship Begins at Playground
- CA$2,300 Super Circuit Championship starts today with a CA$500,000 guarantee.

The inaugural WSOP Super Circuit Canada moves into its next phase at Playground on Monday, August 31, with the CA$2,300 Super Circuit Championship joining a schedule that already includes the CA$1,000 Mystery Bounty.
It follows a huge weekend in Kahnawake, Quebec, where the CA$500 Mini Main Event attracted 3,484 entries across its five starting flights. CanadianPoker.com covered the tournament heading into Day 2 on Sunday, when Brett Wordon led the reported field with 1,600,000 chips.
Monday brings a fresh development rather than another recap of those starting-flight numbers: the arrival of Event #4 and the return of Mystery Bounty survivors for Day 2.
CA$2,300 Championship Starts Today
The CA$2,300 Super Circuit Championship begins at 11 a.m. local time on August 31.
Players receive 40,000 starting chips, with 40-minute levels and unlimited re-entry available. The tournament carries a CA$500,000 guarantee and is spread across two starting flights.
Flight 1A runs Monday, with Flight 1B scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1. The surviving players then combine for Day 2 at noon on Wednesday.

The Championship represents the largest buy-in of the festival so far and provides another major tournament opportunity before the CA$5,000 Main Event begins later this week.
Players looking for a lower-cost route into the Championship also have a CA$300 Milestone satellite on Monday's schedule.
Mystery Bounty Returns for Day 2
Event #3, the CA$1,000 Mystery Bounty, is also scheduled to resume Monday.
The tournament opened Saturday before adding two more starting flights on Sunday. All surviving players are scheduled to return at 4 p.m. Monday for Day 2.
The event carries a CA$400,000 guarantee and uses 50,000-chip starting stacks with 30-minute levels.
As of Monday morning, reliable publicly accessible sources had not provided a complete consolidated Day 2 chip count or confirmed final field size. CanadianPoker.com will therefore not publish partial stacks as though they represented the complete leaderboard.
The Mystery Bounty winner will become the latest player to secure a WSOP Circuit ring during the Canadian Super Circuit.
Main Event Moves Closer
Monday's Championship marks the beginning of an increasingly busy stretch of live poker in Canada.
The CA$1,500 Monster Stack Pot-Limit Omaha begins Tuesday, September 1, carrying a CA$75,000 guarantee. A CA$1,000 Progressive Bounty follows on Wednesday.
Then comes the tournament around which the entire festival has been built.
The CA$5,000 WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event begins Thursday, September 3, at Playground. It carries a record CA$10 million guarantee, the largest guarantee attached to a live poker tournament in Canada.
The Main Event has multiple starting flights running through September 6 before the surviving field begins the long journey toward one of the biggest prizes ever awarded at a Canadian poker event.
Playground's inaugural Super Circuit runs through September 12, with 18 ring events and more than CA$14 million in advertised guarantees.
For Monday, however, attention shifts to two tournaments: Mystery Bounty players returning for Day 2 and a fresh field taking its seats in the first flight of the CA$2,300 Championship.
