WSOP Circuit Canada has become one of the most important parts of the country's live tournament calendar, with major stops at Playground in Quebec and Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary.
The 2026 Canadian schedule is the biggest yet. Six confirmed WSOP Circuit festivals are being held in Canada during the calendar year, including the country's first WSOP Super Circuit, two Calgary stops and three regular Circuit festivals at Playground.
Canadian players can compete for official WSOP Gold Rings, Main Event titles and substantial prize pools without travelling to Las Vegas.
The 2026 season has already produced multi-million-dollar Main Events, record fields and a historic Super Circuit at Playground. Two more regular Canadian Circuit stops remain after the Super Circuit concludes.

Next WSOP Circuit Canada Stop: Calgary
Once the inaugural Super Circuit concludes, attention shifts west to Alberta.
The WSOP Circuit returns to Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary from September 30 to October 12, 2026.
The official schedule contains 18 ring events, with buy-ins ranging from C$400 to C$3,500.

The C$2,300 Main Event begins with Flight A on October 8, followed by Flights B and C on October 9 and 10.

WSOP Super Circuit Canada 2026
The biggest development in Canadian Circuit history arrived at Playground in August 2026.
The inaugural WSOP Super Circuit Canada runs from August 26 to September 12 and features 18 Gold Ring tournaments with more than C$14 million in advertised guarantees.
Its centrepiece is the C$5,000 Super Circuit Main Event with a C$10 million guarantee.

Paul Meiners of the United States ended the Canadian winning streak by taking Event #6, the C$1,000 Progressive Bounty.
The C$500 Mini Main Event was particularly significant. Its 3,484 entries established a new single-tournament attendance record for Playground.

Before the Super Circuit, Canada had already hosted three completed regular WSOP Circuit Main Events during 2026.

These results show the scale Canadian Circuit stops can now reach.
The March/April Playground Main Event generated more than C$3.67 million in prize money, while Calgary's January Main Event passed C$2.5 million.
Senthuran Vijayaratnam Wins Calgary Main Event
The first Canadian Circuit Main Event of 2026 took place at Deerfoot Inn & Casino.
The C$2,200 Main Event attracted 1,321 entries, producing a C$2,504,662 prize pool.
Canadian Senthuran Vijayaratnam claimed the ring and C$396,556 first prize. Robin Bergren finished second for C$264,283, while Graham Lupton collected C$188,206 for third.
The January Calgary festival also featured a wide range of formats, including NLH/PLO mixed, bounty events, T.O.R.S.E. and a C$3,500 High Roller.
Allen Li-Xin Shen Wins at Playground
Playground hosted its first WSOP Circuit series of 2026 from March 23 to April 7.
The C$2,500 Main Event attracted 1,781 entries and generated C$3,672,793 in prize money.
Allen Li-Xin Shen won the title and C$605,000.
The series also produced huge participation in its smaller events. The C$400 Mini Main Event attracted 2,464 entries, with Samuel John Bourque taking first place for C$105,000.
Daniel Ghionoiu Wins May Playground Main Event
The Circuit returned to Playground only weeks later for another festival from May 10 to 25.
The tournament drew 1,022 entries and generated a C$1,972,201 prize pool.
Daniel Ghionoiu won the C$2,500 Main Event and collected C$370,001, while Daniel Tsipris earned C$235,000 for second and Sylvain Siebert received C$164,600 for third.
The May festival also featured a C$1,000 Colossus won by Franco Tucci and a C$600 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament won by David Goldfarb.

Canada's final currently confirmed Circuit stop of 2026 runs at Playground from November 2 to 17.
WSOP has confirmed the dates and venue, but the complete tournament schedule had not yet been published when this guide was updated.

What Does a WSOP Circuit Winner Receive?
Winning an official Circuit event means more than collecting the tournament prize money.
Each designated event winner receives a WSOP Gold Ring.
For the 2026 WSOP Circuit season, every ring winner also receives a US$5,000 WSOP Paradise package.
The package includes entry into the US$2,750 WSOP Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty at WSOP Paradise 2026 plus accommodation at Baha Mar in the Bahamas.
That gives Canadian players a direct path from a Circuit event in Calgary or Quebec to another major WSOP festival.

Players do not necessarily have to pay the full Main Event buy-in directly.
Live Satellites
Host venues regularly run live satellites and qualifiers for major Circuit tournaments.

Playground's Record-Breaking WSOP Circuit History
Playground established itself as a major WSOP Circuit venue before the Super Circuit arrived.
Its 2025 Main Event attracted 1,978 entries and produced a C$4,450,500 prize pool, which WSOP described as the largest prize pool in Circuit history at the time.
Jacob Hobday won the event for C$620,000.
The 2026 Super Circuit then produced another venue record when the C$500 Mini Main Event attracted 3,484 entries.

WSOP Circuit Calgary
Calgary has also developed into an important Canadian Circuit destination.
Deerfoot Inn & Casino hosted the opening Canadian stop of 2026 in January and welcomes the Circuit back from September 30 to October 12.
The venue offers a somewhat different market from Playground, giving Western Canadian players easier access to WSOP-branded tournament poker.
The autumn schedule includes Hold'em, PLO, H.O.R.S.E., bounty events, a Ladies Event, High Roller and the C$2,300 Main Event.
This variety also makes the festival a useful destination for players who want to move beyond standard Hold'em tournament formats.
WSOP Circuit Canada vs WSOP in Las Vegas
The WSOP Circuit and the summer World Series of Poker are related but distinct tournament series.
The biggest difference is the hardware.
Circuit winners receive Gold Rings, while WSOP bracelet events award Gold Bracelets.
Circuit buy-ins are generally more accessible, and Canadian players can compete domestically without the cost of travelling to Las Vegas.
For ambitious tournament players, however, the Circuit can also serve as a stepping stone toward larger WSOP events.
