  • WPT Global excludes Alberta, New Brunswick, and Ontario from its platform but not Canada as a whole.
  • The excluded-provinces list can change, so players must review current Terms and Conditions before signing up.
  • Availability varies by province; players should confirm eligibility and consider alternatives if needed.
WPT Global Exclusion in Canada
WPT Global's current Terms and Conditions list Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario as excluded territories, creating a province-by-province distinction for Canadian players rather than a blanket exclusion covering the entire country.

The current Canada-facing terms name all three provinces individually in the operator's excluded-territories list. Canada itself is not listed as an excluded country. WPT Global also states that players are prohibited from using its services from any territory included on that list.

Canadian players considering the room should therefore check their location against the latest terms before registering or attempting to play. Our WPT Global review covers the poker room, software, games and other information relevant to Canadian players.

Three Canadian Provinces Appear on the Current Excluded List

As of October 11, 2026, WPT Global's current Terms and Conditions specifically list Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario among its excluded territories.

Canadian Location
Status in Current WPT Global Terms
Alberta Listed as an excluded territory
New Brunswick Listed as an excluded territory
Ontario Listed as an excluded territory
Canada Not listed as an excluded country

For players in those provinces, the wording is direct: WPT Global's terms prohibit use of the services from an excluded territory. Alberta players can find broader provincial information in our poker in Alberta guide, including live poker and the province's regulated online gambling framework.

Players in New Brunswick can use our poker in New Brunswick guide for province-specific poker information.

Canada Is Not Excluded as a Whole

The distinction matters because the current excluded-territories list does not name Canada as a whole. Instead, Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario appear individually.

That does not mean players should assume WPT Global is available everywhere else in Canada without checking. The terms state that the excluded list may be changed at any time and is not exhaustive. WPT Global also places responsibility on players to make sure they are not located in a jurisdiction where their use of the service would breach applicable gambling laws or regulations.

The safest reading for Canadian players is therefore to treat availability as location-specific and to check the current WPT Global terms before opening an account, depositing or playing.

No Verified Start Date for the Provincial Restrictions

The current Terms and Conditions confirm the present position, but they do not state when Alberta, New Brunswick or Ontario were first added to the excluded-territories list.

CanadianPoker is therefore not assigning a start date to the restrictions. The key point for players is the wording in the current terms: all three provinces are presently named on the excluded list, while Canada itself is not.

What Canadian Players Should Check Before Signing Up

Online poker availability can differ considerably between Canadian provinces, particularly as provincial regulation continues to develop. A poker room being accessible in one part of Canada should not be taken as confirmation that players in every province can use the same service.

Before registering with any operator, players should check the current terms, confirm provincial eligibility and make sure the site accepts players in their location. Our Canadian poker sites guide compares online poker options for Canadian players and can be used to explore alternatives where availability differs by province.

WPT Global's excluded-territories list can change, so players should rely on the latest operator terms rather than older promotion pages, archived offers or previous availability information.
