CanadianPoker $250 GTD 888poker Freebuy: Passwords & Schedule
- CanadianPoker is running three exclusive $250 GTD Freebuy tournaments on 888poker in October, open to eligible Canadian players.
- Entry is free with the correct password, but players in Alberta, New Brunswick, and Ontario are excluded.
- Events take place on Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET, offering three opportunities to win a share of the $250 prize pool.
CanadianPoker is running an exclusive series of password-protected $250 GTD Freebuys on 888poker for eligible Canadian players, with three Sunday-night events scheduled through October.
Entry is free, but players need the current CanadianPoker password to register. Each tournament carries a $250 guaranteed prize pool and is designed specifically for the CanadianPoker community.
For players in Eastern Canada, the tournaments begin at 9:00 p.m. ET on Sunday night, making them easy to fit into the regular weekend poker schedule.
The passwords for all three October events are listed below and can be entered directly in the 888poker tournament lobby.
CanadianPoker $250 GTD Freebuy Schedule
| Canadian Date | Start Time | Password |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday, October 11 | 9:00 p.m. ET | manitoba |
| Sunday, October 18 | 9:00 p.m. ET | yukon |
| Sunday, October 25 | 9:00 p.m. ET | newfound |
The tournament is listed in Central European time as beginning at 2:00 a.m. on October 12, October 19 and October 26, which places it on the previous evening for Canadian players.
How the CanadianPoker 888poker Freebuy Works
The CanadianPoker event is a private Freebuy rather than a standard open freeroll.
Players can enter the tournament without paying an initial buy-in, but access is restricted by password. That keeps the event focused on the CanadianPoker community rather than opening the field to the entire 888poker player base.
A $250 guaranteed prize pool is available in each edition.
Freebuy tournaments differ slightly from traditional freerolls because additional paid options may be available after the free initial entry. Players should always check the current tournament lobby for the exact structure before registering.
If you are new to this format, our poker freerolls in Canada guide explains the difference between freerolls, freebuys and other free-entry tournaments.
How to Enter the $250 GTD Freebuy
Eligible players first need a 888poker account and the password for the relevant tournament.
Open the 888poker tournament lobby and look for the CanadianPoker $250 GTD Freebuy. Select the tournament, enter the current password and complete registration.
The password changes between events, so players should use the code shown for the correct date rather than relying on an older CanadianPoker password.
For the October schedule:
manitoba is valid for the October 11 Canadian event.
yukon is valid for October 18.
newfound is valid for October 25.
Players considering the platform can read our 888poker Canada Review for more information about the software, games, banking and current provincial restrictions.
Who Can Play the CanadianPoker 888poker Freebuy?
The event is intended for eligible Canadian players, but 888poker availability is not the same across every province.
888poker currently lists Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario as excluded territories in its Terms & Conditions. Players in those provinces should not attempt to register for the tournament.
Players elsewhere in Canada should still check the latest 888poker terms before playing, as geographic restrictions can change.
New players who are eligible to register can also check the current 888poker Promo Code offer before opening an account.
Three Chances to Play for $250 GTD
With events on three consecutive Sunday evenings, CanadianPoker players have several opportunities to take part before the October series concludes.
There is no initial tournament buy-in, the prize pool is guaranteed at $250, and access is limited by the CanadianPoker password for each week.
The key detail is simply to use the correct password and Canadian start time.
Participation remains subject to 888poker's current terms, geographic restrictions and tournament conditions.
