WPT Global Sets November 29 Deadline for World Championship Qualifiers
- Weekly $1,060 qualifier finals run on WPT Global until November 29 for entry to the WPT World Championship Main Event in December.
- Winners receive a $12,400 package covering the Main Event buy-in, travel allowance, and exclusive perks.
- The first 30 qualifiers get a $100,000 Golden Ticket, awarded if one wins the Main Event.
The calendar is beginning to shrink more and more, at least for those of us still trying to reach the WPT World Championship through WPT Global.
Weekly $1,060 qualifying finals continue through November 29, two weeks before the $10,400 Main Event begins at Wynn Las Vegas. That gives players a little over a month to secure their place at Wynn this December.
Qualification Continues Every Sunday
The main qualifying final is the same for everyone, regardless of where a player begins. WPT Global runs a $1,060 World Championship satellite every Sunday, with three feeder ladders feeding tickets into it:
| Starting Point | Qualification Route |
|---|---|
| $1.10 | $1.10 → $11 → $110 → $1,060 |
| $5 | $5 → $55 → $1,060 |
| $22 | $22 → $220 → $1,060 |
Qualifying finals started at the end of last month, September 20 and the final Sunday is November 29. That gives players more than enough time to either grind through several lower-priced stages or start further up the ladder.
Winning the Final Covers the Main Event and Travel Money
Players who successfully make it through and win the qualifier receives a package valued at $12,400. Most of that value goes towrds the the $10,400 Main Event entry. The other $2,000 is deposited into the your WPT Global account as a travel allowence.
To sweeten the deal a bit, WPT Global also includes merchandise, preferential Wynn hotel pricing, access to its Player Lounge and express registration. Here is the complete package breakdown:
| Package Item | Value |
|---|---|
| WPT World Championship Main Event Entry | $10,400 |
| Travel | $2,000 |
| Main Event Dates | December 13-20 |
| Venue | Wynn Las Vegas |
| WPT Global Merchandise | Included |
| Wynn Player Rate | Included |
| Player Lounge Access | Included |
| Express Registration | Included |
Main Event Begins December 13
The World Championship Main Event runs from December 13 through December 20 at Wynn Las Vegas.
Satellite package winners are entered into Day 1A on December 13. WPT Global also requires package winners to complete full KYC verification by December 3 in order to remain eligible for the promotion.
First 30 Qualifiers Have $100K Riding on the Result
The first 30 WPT Global qualifiers also receive a prize very aptly titled the $100,000 Golden Ticket.
While the name is alluring, it doesn't entail that $100,000 is added to the package immediately. The Golden Ticket pays only if one of those qualifiers eventually wins the World Championship, in which case WPT Global adds another $100,000 to the winner’s prize.
With the final qualifying Sunday set for November 29, the road to Wynn is already well under way even before the wider World Championship programme becomes the main focus in December.
