Allan Alejandro Leads Closer as WSOP Super Circuit Canada Reaches Final Day
- Allan Alejandro leads Closer Turbo Bounty with 998,000 chips.

The WSOP Super Circuit Canada moved into its final stretch at Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec on September 11, with the CA$1,500 Closer Turbo Bounty producing two Canadian-heavy starting flights ahead of Saturday's Day 2.
The Main Event celebrations are now in the rear-view mirror after Mayukh Chakraborty's CA$1.5 million victory. Friday's focus shifted to the remaining ring events, with the Closer joining the Mystery Bounty and PLO High Roller during another busy day of tournament action.
The biggest new development came in Event #16. Allan Alejandro emerged with the largest displayed stack across the two Closer flights, while Michael Leah shared the Flight 1A lead and Canadians occupied most of the leading positions on both leaderboards.
Michael Leah Shares Flight 1A Lead
Flight 1A began at 11 a.m. with a CA$1,500 buy-in. The Closer carries a CA$200,000 guarantee and uses 50,000-chip starting stacks with 30-minute levels.
China's Pei Li and Canadian Michael Leah finished level on 789,000 in the latest WSOP LIVE standings, with David Burnard close behind on 758,000.
David Brillon was fourth with 571,000, followed by American Andy Tsai on 448,000 and Canada's Said Jalali with 427,000.

Allan Alejandro Takes Overall Closer Lead
Flight 1B began at 5 p.m. and produced the largest displayed stack of either opening flight.
Canadian Allan Alejandro reached 998,000, putting him narrowly ahead of compatriot Joshua Hardiman on 939,000.
Senthuran Vijayaratnam finished with 672,000 and Aidan Coruna had 628,000, giving Canada the top four positions in the displayed Flight 1B standings.
Kejun Wang was fifth on 485,000 before another Canadian, Ricardo Cermeno-Sandoval, appeared with 414,000. Michael Tieu, who also featured prominently during the previous day's Mystery Bounty action, had 405,000.

Across both flights, Alejandro and Hardiman hold the two largest displayed stacks, followed by Li and Leah on 789,000 and Burnard on 758,000.
The Canadian presence is hard to miss. Seven of the top ten displayed stacks from Flight 1A belonged to Canadians, while eight of the top 12 shown from Flight 1B carried the Canadian flag.
For players still chasing a ring, the Closer represents one of the last major opportunities of the festival and another strong chapter for live poker in Canada.
Mystery Bounty and PLO High Roller Continue
Two tournaments that began on September 10 also continued Friday.
The CA$800 Mystery Bounty returned for Day 2 after Michael Tieu had led the latest Flight 1A standings with 389,000 and Brendan Long topped Flight 1B with 748,000. The event carries a CA$150,000 guarantee.
The CA$6,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller also returned for Day 2. Allen Shen entered the continuation as the latest displayed leader with 750,000, ahead of Frederic Normand on 498,000 and Miltiadis Mavrigiannakis on 459,000.
Reliable publicly accessible sources had not produced complete verified final results and payout tables for either event when this report was prepared. CanadianPoker.com is therefore not naming winners or publishing unverified later chip counts.
Two Final Rings Await on September 12
September 12 brings the final scheduled day of the inaugural Super Circuit.
The Closer Turbo Bounty moves into Day 2. Public secondary schedules currently disagree on the exact restart time, so players should confirm through WSOP LIVE or Playground before returning.
Event #17, the CA$600 Progressive Bounty, is officially scheduled to start at noon with a CA$75,000 guarantee.
The festival then closes with Event #18, the CA$500 Series Saver Hyper Turbo, beginning at 6 p.m. with CA$50,000 guaranteed.
Those two tournaments will award the final rings from a festival that began August 26 and featured 18 ring events with more than CA$14 million in advertised guarantees.
With Chakraborty's Main Event title already secured and Canadian players again dominating the Closer leaderboards, the final day of one of the year's biggest Canadian poker tournaments still has plenty to decide.
