  • Oihan Abarzuza won the Venom No-Limit Hold'em PKO, earning $536,577 after a dramatic final table comeback.
  • Daniel Palau secured the Venom PLO title, maintaining his lead to claim $239,820.
  • $6.86 million was paid out across both tournaments, highlighting two distinct paths to victory.
The Venom PKO on ACR Poker
Oihan Abarzuza entered Wednesday’s Venom final table with five players ahead of him, briefly found himself last among the final four and still finished the night with more than half a million dollars.

At another table, Daniel Palau had considerably less catching up to do. He began the PLO Venom as chip leader and eventually converted that starting position into the second title of the night.

The two ACR Poker victories closed the latest Dual Venom PKOs with $6.86 million paid across the tournaments, although the straight line between “finalist” and “champion” looked a little different for the two winners.

Abarzuza Survives the Quiet Part Before Taking Over

With 2,143 entries behind him, Abarzuza reached the NLH final table sixth in chips.

Playing under the name “PushLightYear,” he returned with 49 big blinds, enough to wait. That patience became useful as several players departed and ArkaduktusFrRM began accumulating chips through an increasingly aggressive run.

By four-handed play, however, waiting was becoming less attractive. Abarzuza had slipped to the bottom of the counts when Lappy shoved ace-five into his pocket queens. The flop brought another queen, doubling Abarzuza and giving him room to attack again.

He followed with a straight against ArkaduktusFrRM, then found pocket sevens in another pot against the leader. A seven on the flop gave Abarzuza a set, and after calling the flop and betting the turn, he moved all-in on the river. ArkaduktusFrRM called, allowing Abarzuza to double into serious contention.

Pepareg1’s elimination came soon afterwards. Ace-eight went into ace-queen, and Abarzuza’s better kicker eventually became two pair.

That left ArkaduktusFrRM and Abarzuza heads-up with deep stacks and what looked, briefly, like the beginning of a long match. It wasn't.

Abarzuza took the lead after making two pair with seven-six, then picked up ace-two against ace-jack. Both players paired their ace on the flop before a deuce on the river gave Abarzuza two pair. ArkaduktusFrRM shoved, Abarzuza called, and the tournament ended.

Palau Takes the PLO Title From the Front

Daniel Palau did not need the same kind of final-table recovery.

Playing as “tigerseyes,” he began the seven-player PLO finale with 60.9 million chips, nearly 20 million ahead of second place. Dzivielevski and Hastings were both inside the top three behind him, while Pepareg1 started last.

The lead changed hands during the final table, but Palau remained in contention long enough to recover it. Hastings eventually finished third after beginning among the shorter stacks, and Pepareg1 completed the more dramatic climb, moving from seventh all the way to heads-up.

The final duel produced one notable pot when Pepareg1 rivered a full house, but the players did not continue for long afterwards. A deal divided the remaining regular prize money almost evenly, leaving the title and accumulated bounties to determine the final totals.
