Mayukh Chakraborty Wins WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event for CA$1.5M
- Chakraborty wins CA$1.5M Main Event as Canadians shine at Playground.
- Monster Stack taken by UK's Taylor, but Canadians dominate final payouts.

The September 10 session at Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec delivered the biggest headline of the entire festival, as Mayukh Chakraborty closed out the CA$5,000 WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event for a massive CA$1,500,000 first prize.
That result turned a strong Canadian final-table showing into an outright title. Benjamin Veenstra finished runner-up for CA$1,000,000, giving the home crowd a one-two finish at the top of the biggest event of the series. It was another huge moment for WSOP Circuit Canada, and another reminder that live poker in Canada continues to grow on the biggest stages.
This updated recap also moves the story forward from the previous final-nine report. The Main Event is now complete, the CA$1,500 Monster Stack has crowned a winner, and two fresh ring events, the CA$800 Mystery Bounty and CA$6,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, are now underway.
Chakraborty Captures Main Event, Veenstra Banks Seven Figures
The CA$5,000 Main Event drew 2,844 entries and built a CA$13,082,400 prize pool after smashing its CA$10 million guarantee. When play reached its conclusion on September 10, it was Chakraborty who finished the job.
Veenstra’s second-place finish for CA$1,000,000 was one of the best Canadian results of the festival, while Jonathan Bussières also made a deep run and collected CA$500,000 in fifth. Parth Mansukh, Deven Lane and Robert Renaud added more Canadian final-table scores.
For one of the biggest Canadian poker tournaments of the year, it was a fitting finish for the host nation.

Jonathan Bussieres added another major Canadian result in fifth, while Parth Mansukh, Deven Lane and Robert Renaud also reached the final table.
The result caps an extraordinary Main Event for Canadian players and gives Chakraborty the signature title of the first WSOP Super Circuit held at Playground.
Stuart Taylor Wins Monster Stack, Canadians Fill the Payout List
The CA$1,500 Monster Stack also reached its conclusion on September 10, with Stuart Taylor of the United Kingdom taking the title and CA$121,000.
Canadian players still dominated much of the final payout table. Ryan Featherstone finished second for CA$78,000, Danesh Luthra turned his overnight chip lead into a third-place result worth CA$54,000, and Joel Kogan, Antoine Sankari and Edward Sorensen all finished inside the top six.
The result was another strong example of how often Canadian players have been near the top of the board throughout this Playground stop.

Mystery Bounty Opens With Two Flights
Event #14, the CA$800 Mystery Bounty, got underway with Flights 1A and 1B. The latest available displayed counts from Flight 1A showed Michael Tieu on top with 389,000, ahead of Emilien Boisgontier on 381,000 and Kam Low on 340,000. Michael Malm also bagged one of the better Canadian stacks with 302,000.
Flight 1B produced the biggest visible stack of the two opening flights, with Brendan Long advancing 748,000. Kelly Kellner led the Canadian charge with 494,000, while Michael Khan, Christina Knot and Amirpasha Emami also finished among the leading displayed stacks.

Allen Shen Leads PLO High Roller
Event #15, the CA$6,000 PLO High Roller, also began on September 10 and remains one of the key unfinished stories heading into the final stretch of the series.
Allen Shen topped the latest displayed counts with 750,000, well ahead of Frederic Normand on 498,000. Thomas Eychenne, Kurtis Ruhl, Jean-Guy Dubois and Xing He were also among the leaders, while Sebastian Crema and Behnam Patros stayed in the mix.

With Chakraborty now crowned champion and Veenstra adding another huge Canadian score, the latest chapter at Playground has already delivered one of the standout days of the year in Canadian poker.
