Two GGPoker Qualifiers Make WSOP Super Circuit Final Table Finishes

Jonathan Bussieres and Felipe Baraky reached the WSOP Super Circuit Playground Main Event final table through $150 GGPoker qualifiers. Bussieres finished fifth for $500,000 and Baraky sixth for $400,000, combining for $900,000 from $300 in qualifying entries.
Jonathan Bussieres and Felipe Baraky turned two $150 GGPoker WSOP Express qualifiers into a combined $900,000 at the WSOP Super Circuit Playground Main Event, reaching the final table of the richest prize pool in Canadian poker history.
The pair each secured a final-table seat after qualifying through GGPoker, with Bussieres finishing fifth for $500,000 and Baraky taking sixth for $400,000. Their combined payouts came from a total $300 investment in the qualifying entries.
The WSOP Super Circuit Playground Main Event attracted 2,844 entries and generated a $13,082,400 prize pool, surpassing the $10,000,000 guarantee.
Of the total field, 507 entries came through GGPoker satellites, accounting for 18 percent of the tournament field. Two of those qualifiers went on to reach the nine-player final table.
The final-table results saw Mayukh Chakraborty claim first place for $1,500,000, followed by Benjamin Veenstra in second for $1,000,000. Jack Salter finished third for $750,000, while Chance Kornuth took fourth for $600,000.
Bussieres and Baraky then followed in fifth and sixth place respectively. Parth Mansukh finished seventh for $300,000, Deven Lane took eighth for $200,000 and Robert Renaud finished ninth for $150,000.
Bussieres finished fifth after reaching the final table through a $150 WSOP Express qualifier. His $500,000 payout represented a 3,333x return based on the $150 qualifying investment.
Baraky also paid $150 to qualify and finished sixth for $400,000, representing a 2,667x return on his qualifying entry.
Together, the two players turned $300 in qualifying entries into $900,000 in tournament payouts. The two qualifiers accounted for two of the nine final-table positions.
Other GGPoker Qualifiers Also Cash Deep
The strong results for GGPoker qualifiers extended beyond the final table. Guoyan Li finished 11th for $120,000 after qualifying through a $60 satellite, producing a 1,999x return.
Adam Calder finished 12th for $100,000 after qualifying through the $10 WSOP Express step, which represented a 9,999x return.
Tamar Alkamli also reached the money, finishing 14th for $85,357.
Across the event, GGPoker qualifiers collected $2,876,857 in payouts, including the results recorded by Bussieres and Baraky.
The WSOP Express is GGPoker's satellite ladder system, with qualifying steps starting at $0.50 and direct buy-in options available at different levels.
The system includes multiple tournament styles and allows players to work toward WSOP Passes that can convert into tournament packages worth up to $30,000, covering entry and travel to a WSOP event of the player's choice.
At the WSOP Super Circuit Playground Main Event, the qualifying results included two final-table finishes from $150 entries, an 11th-place finish from a $60 satellite and a 12th-place finish from a $10 WSOP Express step.
The results came in a 2,844-entry tournament that produced a $13,082,400 prize pool, with GGPoker qualifiers accounting for 507 entries and 18 percent of the field.
