Day 22 of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) brought another dense schedule of tournament poker to The Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
Outside of the completed events, significant attention turned to Event #47: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha. After Day 1a saw 27 players advance from a starting pool of 105 entries, players who failed to secure a chip stack were given another opportunity in the Day 1b flight.
The second flight drew a substantial crowd at The Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, recording 224 entries across ten levels of play. This turnout was more than double the size of the initial flight, pushing the total field size for the tournament to 329 entries.
By the end of the day, 83 players advanced to secure their positions for Day 2, with Youness Barakat claiming the overall chip lead.
Daniel Negreanu was among the prominent players navigating the Day 1b field. Negreanu experienced a difficult start to the tournament, suffering an early elimination on the very first hand of his first bullet. However, his second entry proved far more successful.
The GGPoker ambassador maximized his second bullet to navigate the field, eventually bagging a chip stack of 789,000. This performance successfully positioned him inside the top 10 chip counts moving into Day 2.
