Daniel Negreanu, Josh Arieh, Brian Rast, and several other notable players remain, while late registration is still open. Jeremy Ausmus leads the final 40 players returning for Day 2 of the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship with 319,000 chips.

The field may have been modest in size on the opening day of Event #38: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship, but Day 2 is set to feature some of the most accomplished names at the 2026 World Series of Poker.

A total of 40 players will return at 1 p.m. local time, with six-time bracelet winner and Hall of Fame candidate Jeremy Ausmus leading the way after building a stack of 319,000.

Ausmus has already reached two final tables at the 2026 WSOP and enters the second day as the chip leader. Ryan Johnson sits in second with 285,000, followed by Kyle Ray with 275,000.

Seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Josh Arieh, whose victory in this championship came in 2023, begins Day 2 with 268,000, placing him among the top five stacks. Maximilian Schindler rounds out the leading group with 255,000.

The returning field also includes a long list of Hall of Famers and established tournament stars. Daniel Negreanu, who described the opening session as his personal "Wine Night," recovered from a short stack and carries 182,000 into Day 2.

Several other notable players remain in contention, including James Obst with 171,000, Brian Rast with 160,000, and Shaun Deeb with 142,000.
Further down the standings are Jesse Lonis with 96,000, John Hennigan with 95,000, David Baker and Gus Hansen with 90,000 each, Joe McKeehen with 82,000, Scott Seiver with 60,000, and Chris Brewer with 7,000.

The tournament has attracted 87 entries so far, though that figure is expected to increase as late registration remains open during the first level of Day 2.

Play resumes on Level 11 with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and limits of 4,000/8,000. The schedule calls for 10 levels of 60 minutes each, with a break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break following Level 15.

With late registration still available and a field packed with decorated professionals, the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship continues into Day 2 with many of poker's biggest names still chasing the title.
