Event #96: $3,000 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha drew 892 players, with only 158 advancing to Day 2. Vivian Saliba holds the second-largest stack, while Poker Hall of Famers Daniel Negreanu and Erik Seidel remain in contention with shorter chip stacks.

The opening day of Event #96: $3,000 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha attracted a highly competitive field of 892 entries. By the conclusion of Day 1, the field collapsed down to just 158 remaining players who secured their spots for the second day of competition.

Among the prominent names navigating the initial flight is Poker Hall of Fame member Daniel Negreanu, who successfully advanced to Day 2 as the tournament intensifies.

Leading the charge near the top of the chip counts is 888poker ambassador Vivian Saliba, who bagged an impressive 788,000 chips.

The Brazilian player captured a gold bracelet at the 2024 World Series of Poker Europe festival by winning the €2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event for €91,400. Saliba returns to action in her preferred poker discipline positioned well with 197 big blinds.
Despite holding the second-largest stack overall, Saliba faces a highly challenging lineup of competitors. The field remains dense with elite talent, including top ten stacks managed by Alex Foxen with 588,000 chips, Brevin Andreadis with 475,000 chips, and Robert Cowen with 472,000 chips.

The narrative surrounding Day 2 also features two iconic Poker Hall of Fame members who survived the Day 1 flight, though both will return to the felt with shorter stacks.

GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu advanced with 111,000 chips. Negreanu enters the next stage of play hunting for both his second bracelet of the current summer and the ninth overall gold bracelet of his career.

Meanwhile, fellow Hall of Fame member Erik Seidel continues his tournament grind after bagging 98,000 chips. Seidel remains in contention as he seeks to capture his 11th career World Series of Poker title.
