The 2026 WSOP Paradise schedule is one of the biggest poker announcements of the year, but it has also triggered a debate that could matter well beyond the Bahamas.
The World Series of Poker will return to Baha Mar in Nassau from December 2 to 17, with 20 gold bracelet events and $120 million in guaranteed prize pools. The $26,000 Super Main Event carries a $50 million guarantee, while the $10,000 GGMillion$ Championship offers another $20 million.
Those numbers are eye-catching. So are the buy-ins.
Only five of the 20 bracelet events are priced below $10,000. The schedule also includes $26,000 and $50,000 high rollers, two $100,000 Super High Roller events and a $250,000 Invitational.
For Canadian poker fans, the controversy has an especially interesting angle because Daniel Negreanu is directly involved in the debate.
