CoinPoker is preparing for one of its largest tournament series of the year with the Global Online Poker Championship, a 37-day festival featuring $50,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

The CoinPoker GOPC runs from August 23 to September 28, 2026, with buy-ins ranging from just $2.20 to $25,500.

For Canadian poker players following the international online tournament calendar, the series brings together hundreds of events, three Main Events, four $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion tournaments, High Rollers and more than 700 championship medals.

What Is the CoinPoker Global Online Poker Championship?

The Global Online Poker Championship, or GOPC, is CoinPoker's major online championship series.

Events are organised across schedules focused on Europe, Latin America and Asia, alongside global tournaments open within CoinPoker's applicable player markets.

Each regional schedule includes High, Mid and Low buy-in levels, allowing the championship to cover a wide range of stakes.

Tournament formats include No-Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha, with structures such as 6-Max, 8-Max, Progressive Knockout, Turbo, Deepstack and Freezeout.

CoinPoker has also created three regional teams:
  • Team Europe: Patrick Leonard and Mario Mosböck
  • Team LATAM: Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo and Yuri Dzivielevski
  • Team Asia: Steve Yea and Congya Zhang

$4.25 Million Guaranteed in Three GOPC Main Events

Three Main Event tiers form one of the biggest parts of the championship schedule, with a combined $4,250,000 guaranteed.

The flagship tournament is the $530 GOPC Main Event, carrying a $3,000,000 guarantee.

Players looking for lower buy-ins can instead enter the $55 Global Main or $11 Global Mini Main.

Main Event Buy-in Guarantee
GOPC Main Event $530 $3,000,000
Global Main $55 $1,000,000
Global Mini Main $11 $250,000

The $55 Global Main and $11 Global Mini Main conclude with Day 2 on September 21.

The $530 Main Event continues for another week, with its remaining field returning for Day 2 on September 28, the final day of the championship.

Four $1 Million CoinMillion Tournaments

The regular $215 CoinMillion also receives four special GOPC editions.

Each comes with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, meaning the four tournaments provide a combined $4 million in guarantees.

They are scheduled for:
  • September 6
  • September 13
  • September 20
  • September 27

Each GOPC CoinMillion winner also receives a championship Gold Medal.

$25,500 Super High Roller Tops the Schedule

The highest buy-in of the championship belongs to the $25,500 Super High Roller Championship on September 22.

The tournament carries a $1,000,000 guarantee.

Other high-stakes GOPC events include a $5,000 High Roller Opening Ceremony, a $5,200 8-Max High Roller and a $10,300 High Roller Championship.

Each of those tournaments has $500,000 guaranteed.

Pot Limit Omaha is also represented, including a $5,000 PLO Championship High Roller with a $200,000 guarantee.

More Than 700 GOPC Medals

CoinPoker will award more than 700 Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals during the Global Online Poker Championship.

Gold Medal winners receive both a physical trophy and a digital Gold Medal displayed in their CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet. Silver and Bronze finishes receive digital medals.

Medals also determine points in the $20,000 GOPC Podium Race:
  • Gold Medal: 10 points
  • Silver Medal: 5 points
  • Bronze Medal: 2 points

The five highest-scoring players at the end of the championship share the $20,000 Podium Race prize pool.

$350,000 in GOPC Leaderboards and Promotions

CoinPoker has allocated another $350,000 to GOPC leaderboards, the Podium Race and Bankroll Boost promotions.

The largest component is the $200,000 Regional Leaderboards.

Nine separate leaderboards are available, covering High, Mid and Low divisions across Europe, LATAM and Asia.

Players collect leaderboard points by cashing in eligible GOPC tournaments.

The promotional allocation consists of:
  • $200,000 in Regional Leaderboards
  • $130,000 in Bankroll Boosts
  • $20,000 in the Podium Race

Bankroll Boost rewards can include tournament tickets, personalised missions and other rewards connected to the championship.

When Does the CoinPoker GOPC Start?

The CoinPoker Global Online Poker Championship begins August 23 and continues through September 28.

Opening week features regional 6-Max Championships and a $5,000 High Roller Opening Ceremony with $500,000 guaranteed.

The series then moves through 8-Max Championships, Progressive Knockout events, CoinMillion tournaments and championship events before its largest tournaments dominate the final weeks.

September 20 marks a particularly important date, featuring the third $1 million CoinMillion and final opening flights for the Global Main and Global Mini Main.
