The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has seen a series of impressive performances from Canadian poker players.
Across multiple disciplines, including No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Mixed Games, and Draw variants, Canadian competitors have secured deep runs, final table appearances, and multiple coveted gold bracelets. Several Canadian players captured first-place finishes to secure WSOP titles in their respective events.
In Event #56, the $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em tournament, Abhishek Mhatre defeated the field to take the victory, earning a top prize of $492,050.
Another major victory came in Event #46, the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em Championship. Homan Mohammadi outlasted the competition to claim the first-place position, taking home $660,000 in prize money.
In Event #22, the $1,500 Big O tournament, Christopher Alcindor secured a first-place finish for Canada. His victory earned him a payout of $387,110.
In Event #70, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, Ari Engel reached the final two tables, ultimately finishing in 10th place for $80,636. In the same event, Kristen Foxen secured a 32nd-place finish, collecting $37,063.
In Event #67, the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Championship, Patrick Stacey put together a deep run, finishing in 15th place to take home $25,484.
