iPOPS Is Back: ChampionPoker Gets a Month of Network-Wide Tournament Action

The name has been quiet for a while, but iPOPS is back.

The iPoker Online Poker Series returned on August 30, bringing a full month of tournament action to ChampionPoker and the rest of the shared iPoker network.

The series runs through September 29 and stretches well beyond one headline Sunday. More than 1,000 tournaments are expected, with buy-ins starting at €1, satellite steps beginning at €0.01 and formats ranging from straight NLHE to PLO, mixed games, Progressive Knockouts and Mystery Bounties.

Main Event Brings €500,000 Guarantee

The tournament most players will have marked is September 27’s €500 Main Event. 

The one-day NLHE event guarantees €500,000 and comes with a deep 250-big-blind starting stack.

Satellites run throughout the series, culminating in a €50 Mega Satellite on Main Event day that guarantees 50 €500 seats.

The qualification ladder is one of the more unusual parts of the series.

Across the network, iPOPS satellites can start from €0.01 and move through progressively larger steps. On ChampionPoker, those qualifiers sit alongside room-specific iPOPS missions and other promotional routes into the schedule.

Side Events Put Bounties Front and Centre

The Main may be classic NLHE, but a significant part of the schedule goes in the opposite direction.

The €250 Knockout Championship carries the second-largest advertised guarantee at €300,000. Players can enter Day 1 flights throughout the month before the final stage on September 28.

The €75 Eliminator XXL follows a similar flighted structure with €200,000 guaranteed.

Before either of those concludes, the €55 Mini Main Event will play for at least €200,000 on September 20.

The three Sunday majors return across August 30 and September 6, 13, 20 and 27, making the series less dependent on the final weekend than some online festivals.
