CoinPoker Global Online Poker Championship Ready With $50 Million in Prize Pool

CoinPoker has announced the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC), a major tournament series featuring $50 million in guaranteed prize pools. 

The festival will run across a 37-day schedule from August 23 through September 28, offering competitions for players across Europe, LATAM, and Asia. 

Buy-ins for the series span from $2.20 up to $25,500, covering various formats including Main Events, CoinMillion tournaments, CoinMasters BTC competitions, High Rollers, Weekenders, and official championship events.

Players participating in eligible numbered GOPC events can compete for physical and digital honors. Gold Medal winners will receive physical trophies shipped directly to them along with digital Gold Medals. 

Silver and Bronze medal awards will be presented in digital format. The series features three Main Event tiers that collectively guarantee $4.25 million in prize money:

CoinPoker will host four CoinMillion GOPC editions across four consecutive Sundays in September (September 6, 13, 20, and 27). 

Each event features a $215 buy-in alongside a $1 million guarantee. Winners of the CoinMillion events receive GOPC Gold Medals and induction into the CoinMillion Hall of Champions. Qualification routes include Satellites, Steps, and free access options.

To cater to lower buy-in tiers, three levels of Weekender events are scheduled:

The Big Weekender: $125 buy-in, $200,000 guarantee.

The Weekender: $55 buy-in, $100,000 guarantee.

The Mini Weekender: $11 buy-in, $25,000 guarantee.

Day 1 flights for Weekender tournaments run twice daily per regional time zone from Thursday through Saturday, culminating in Sunday finals.

August 23 to 29 (Week 1): Features the Opening Ceremony, 6-Max Championships, $5,000 High Roller Opening Ceremony, $150 CoinMasters BTC, and initial flights for both the $55 Global Main and $11 Global Mini Main.

August 30 to September 5 (Week 2): Highlights Weekenders, 8-Max Championships, CoinMillion satellites and Steps, plus the $5,200 High Roller 8-Max Championship.

September 6 to 12 (Week 3): Features the first $215 CoinMillion GOPC Edition, the start of the $3 million Main Event, the $1 million CoinMasters BTC High Roller, and Turbo Championships.

September 13 to 19 (Week 4): Introduces PKO Championships, the second $1 million CoinMillion tournament, and Deepstack Championships.

September 20 to 26 (Week 5): Includes CoinMasters events, the third $1 million CoinMillion, the $25,500 Super High Roller, the $5,000 PLO Championship High Roller, and the $5,000 Record Breaker High Roller.

September 27 to 28 (Final Days): Features the fourth CoinMillion, final Main Event flights, the $10,300 High Roller Championship, PLO Championships, the $150 CoinMasters BTC, and the conclusion of the Regional Leaderboards and Podium Race.

On top of overall tournament guarantees, CoinPoker has set aside $350,000 in promotional prize pools:

Regional Leaderboards ($200,000) - Divided between Europe, LATAM, and Asia across High, Mid, and Low tiers.

High tiers award prizes to the top 10 places, Mid tiers pay 15 places, and Low tiers pay 30 places. Leaderboard points apply only to players finishing in the money during eligible numbered GOPC events, calculated using total tournament entries (A), tournament buy-in (B), and finishing position (C). Satellites, freerolls, private events, and cancelled tournaments are excluded unless specified.

Podium Race ($20,000) - Awards points based on medal placements: Gold yields 10 points, Silver yields five points, and Bronze yields two points. The top five finishers on the leaderboard share the $20,000 prize pool.

Bankroll Boosts ($130,000) - Allocated to tournament tickets, personalized missions, and second-chance rewards.
