Day 2d of the 2026 WSOP Main Event concluded with 2,034 players advancing to Day 3. Canada's Dhiraj Sharma bagged the seventh-largest stack with 312 big blinds, while Kristen Foxen also advanced from a historic 9,208-entry field playing for $10 million.

Day 2d of Event #82: $10,000 WSOP Main Event No-Limit Hold'em World Championship has officially concluded inside the Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas ballrooms.

For the thousands of competitors in attendance, the day was defined by the highly anticipated announcement of a $10 million first-place prize.

A surge of 820 new entries utilized the late registration period, joining the 3,638 returning players from Day 1d. This brought the total field size to 9,208 entrants, establishing it as the fourth-largest Main Event in World Series of Poker history.

The final prize pool surpassed $85 million, ensuring that each member of the final nine players will earn at least $1 million, while the eventual world champion walks away with the eight-figure grand prize.

With the prize structure finalized, the remaining levels of the day turned into a grueling battle for positioning. Michael Rossitto emerged as the unofficial chip leader for the flight, bagging a stack of 770,500.

In total, 2,034 players survived the Day 2d structure. These survivors will advance to Day 3, where they will merge with the 1,260 players who advanced from Day 2abc.

The combined field will resume play tomorrow at 11 a.m. local time, with everyone chasing a spot among the top 1,382 players who are guaranteed a piece of the prize pool.
Players from Canada experienced contrasting results during the Day 2d session. Leading the Canadian contingent was Dhiraj Sharma, who secured a spot among the overall top stacks by the end of the night. Sharma finished the flight with the seventh-highest stack in the room, accumulating a massive 312 big blinds.

Other high-profile Canadian professionals were also grinding in the field, including Kristen Foxen and Daniel Negreanu.

While both former champions battled throughout the day, only Foxen managed to protect her chips, survive the flight, and secure her progression to Day 3. Negreanu was unable to advance.
