Coming Home: Texas Card House Austin Hosts Historic WSOP Debut

They say that Texas Hold’em is "the game that takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master," but for the poker community in Austin, the wait for an official World Series event has been just as long. That wait ends on April 23, as Texas Card House Austin officially welcomes the WSOP Circuit to the state for a 12-day festival that represents a massive homecoming for the sport. 

The journey to this moment began in 2015, when Texas Card House helped pioneer the private club model that now defines the state's poker landscape. Today, the Austin room, one of TCH's six locations, stands as a premier destination for players across the country. 

The action starts with the $500,000 Mini Main, a five-flight marathon that allows players to experience the high-intensity atmosphere of a major tour at a fraction of the cost. As the series progresses toward the $1,700 Main Event on April 30, the room will likely be at capacity, with fans and spectators flocking to see history in the making.
