Jim Harnden, Karyn Gemmill, Andrew Fair and Fat Wong are among the confirmed winners at the October 2026 WSOP Circuit Calgary series, with Harnden claiming the $500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout title in Event #16 for $26,577.

The series is taking place at Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary, Alberta. The confirmed results from Events #13 through #16 include victories in the Ladies No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty, H.O.R.S.E. and No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout tournaments.

The $2,300 Main Event in Event #12 attracted 850 entries, although its final winner requires confirmation from the available reporting.

Event #13: Karyn Gemmill Wins the Ladies Event

Karyn Gemmill won Event #13, the $400 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em tournament, collecting $9,158 and her first WSOP Circuit ring.

The event attracted 104 entries and generated $34,320 in prizes. Gemmill held the chip lead for much of the closing stages and entered heads-up play against Jo Teliani with an advantage.

Teliani finished second for $5,887, while Amelia Ng took third for $3,944. Marinka Ravlic finished fourth for $2,755, and Joanne Lewis-Davies placed fifth for $2,011. Gemmill's victory marked her third live tournament win and her first WSOP Circuit ring.

Event #14: Andrew Fair Wins the Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty

Andrew Fair captured Event #14, the $400 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty tournament, earning $20,784 in prize money and an additional $500 in bounties.

The tournament attracted 478 entries and generated $157,740 in combined prizes. The total included $109,940 in regular prize money and $47,800 in bounties, making it the largest one-day field reported during this stretch of the Calgary series.

Fair came from behind during heads-up play against Johnny Dalphond, who held the chip lead when the final two players moved to the poker room after a forced relocation from the Chrome room.

The tournament continued into the early morning, with the final hands dealt after 6 a.m. Fair won two significant pots with tens, including the final hand against Dalphond's ace-queen double-suited holding. Dalphond flopped a diamond draw but failed to complete it, allowing Fair's tens to hold.

Dalphond finished second for $13,839. Colin Burton took third for $9,624, followed by John Carlson in fourth for $6,825 and Mike Malm in fifth for $4,936.

Event #15: Fat Wong Wins H.O.R.S.E. 8-Max

Fat Wong won Event #15, the $800 H.O.R.S.E. tournament, collecting $14,919. The mixed-game event attracted 74 entries and generated a $51,430 prize pool.

Wong defeated Sebastian Lamprea heads-up after the latter entered the final confrontation with the chip lead. Wong gained momentum during the closing stages, winning key pots across the mixed-game rotations.

The final hand came during the Limit Hold'em round, when Wong flopped a set of threes and survived Lamprea's heart draw.

Lamprea finished second for $9,510, while Eric Tran placed third for $6,345. Calvin Lake finished fourth for $4,439, and Kyle Ho took fifth for $3,263.

Wong's victory earned him his first WSOP Circuit ring. PokerPro's reporting described it as what appeared to be his second live tournament win.

Event #16: Jim Harnden Wins the $500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout

Jim Harnden won Event #16, the $500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout, for $26,577 after defeating Shannon Lazorko heads-up. The tournament attracted 293 entries and generated a $122,877 prize pool.

Harnden had to come from behind to secure his second WSOP Circuit ring. Lazorko began heads-up play with approximately twice Harnden's chips and appeared positioned to take control of the contest.
A pivotal hand changed the momentum.

Harnden flopped middle pair and survived Lazorko's substantial flush draw to double up, bringing the stacks closer together. He subsequently built a lead through a series of smaller pots.

The tournament ended when Lazorko held king-five and flopped a five, while Harnden held ace-six and paired his ace. Harnden improved to two pair on the turn to secure the victory.

The result gave Harnden his first WSOP Circuit ring in Calgary and his first in approximately 15 years. His previous ring victory came in 2012 in Palm Beach, Florida.

Lazorko earned $17,669 for finishing second. Darrell Moore took third for $12,238, while Christian Hidalgo finished fourth for $8,643. Marvin Boychuk placed fifth for $6,236.
