Event 52 features 164 remaining players from a 472-entry field, led by Stephen Hubbard. Canada's Tara Dunn holds the tenth-highest stack with 259,500 chips. Exactly 71 places will pay, with a top prize of $254,470 awaiting the winner on Thursday.

Canada's Tara Dunn has positioned herself near the top of the leaderboard, securing the 10th highest stack as Event #52: $3,000 Nine Game Mix moves into its next phase of play.

Following a highly competitive opening session, the tournament drew an official field of 472 players, which has now been narrowed down to just 164 remaining competitors.

Setting the pace at the top of the chip counts is Stephen Hubbard, who enters the next round as the overall chip leader. Hubbard is currently enjoying an impressive summer stretch, having already secured his first career gold bracelet earlier this season in the $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw.

He sustained that momentum with a strong fourth-place finish in the $1,500 Razz event. Hubbard will attempt to convert his current chip lead into another deep tournament run when action resumes on Thursday at 1 p.m.

The returning field still has significant work ahead to guarantee a return on their investment. Only 71 places will be paid out of the 472 entries, meaning more than half of the remaining players will walk away empty-handed before reaching the money bubble.

Those who manage to secure a payout will lock up a minimum cash worth $6,060, while the eventual champion will claim the first-place prize of $254,470.
Dunn will return to the tables with a stack of 259,500 chips, putting her in a strong position within the top ten. However, she faces a highly accomplished line-up of challengers who are also looking to lock up a share of the prize pool. The notable players returning for Thursday's session include:
  • David Williams: 282,500 chips
  • Bryn Kenney: 242,500 chips
  • Rob Hollink: 140,000 chips
  • Justin Saliba: 134,500 chips
  • Todd Brunson: 111,500 chips
  • Naoya Kihara: 104,500 chips

With a massive top prize and a coveted title on the line, the remaining 164 players face a crucial stretch of play.

As the field approaches the money bubble, all eyes will be on whether chip leader Stephen Hubbard can maintain his advantage or if top ten contenders like Tara Dunn can surge ahead when the action gets underway.
