Online poker operator CoinPoker has announced the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC), a major online tournament series featuring a total guaranteed prize pool of $50 million.
Scheduled to run from August 23 to September 28, the festival is structured to welcome players from around the globe to compete for substantial cash prizes and team honors.
To accommodate a global player base across various geographic areas, the GOPC features three dedicated tournament schedules tailored specifically to different time zones. These regions include Europe, Latin America, and Asia, ensuring that participants can enter events at convenient local times.
In addition to time-zone-specific programming, the series offers three distinct buy-in tiers. This multi-tiered setup provides options suited to players with different bankrolls, allowing broad participation throughout the multi-week championship.
Beyond standard tournament payouts, the series incorporates a championship-style element. Competitors will participate as part of GOPC Teams while aiming for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. This structure adds an athletic competition theme on top of the regular tournament prize pool.
The Global Online Poker Championship officially begins on August 23 and continues through September 28.
