WSOP Super Circuit Canada: Moss Wins Mystery Bounty as Championship Continues

The WSOP Super Circuit Canada moves into September with Canadian players still unbeaten in completed ring events at Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec.
Frederic Moss became the latest home-country champion on Monday, winning the CA$1,000 Mystery Bounty for CA$90,000. His victory follows Sebastien Proulx's win in the opening Super Circuit Kickoff and Daniel Haim's triumph in the massive Mini Main Event.
Attention now turns to Tuesday's action, with Flight 1B of the CA$2,300 Canada Circuit Championship underway and the CA$1,500 Monster Stack Pot-Limit Omaha joining the schedule.
Frederic Moss Wins Mystery Bounty for CA$90,000
Event #3, the CA$1,000 Mystery Bounty, concluded Monday with Moss taking the WSOP Circuit ring and CA$90,000 in regular tournament prize money.
Fellow Canadian Gurtej Toor finished runner-up for CA$60,000, while Nicholas Teeuwen completed an all-Canadian podium and earned CA$40,000.
The Canadian dominance extended considerably further.
Every player in the top 12 of the final standings represented Canada, continuing an extraordinary opening stretch for the home contingent at Playground.

Guoyan Li Makes Another Deep Run
One name in particular continues to appear near the top of the results at Playground.
Guoyan Li finished eighth for CA$9,200, just one day after making a deep run in the enormous CA$500 Mini Main Event.
Li had been the Flight 1B chip leader in the Mini Main after bagging 1,400,000 chips. He eventually finished 19th from the tournament's 3,484 entries for CA$6,430.
Less than 24 hours later, Li was back among the final players in the Mystery Bounty.
That gives him at least CA$15,630 in regular tournament payouts from the two events, before accounting for any mystery bounties he collected.
The result continues a remarkable opening stretch for Canadian players at Playground. Sebastien Proulx won Event #1, the CA$500 Super Circuit Kickoff, for CA$56,000. Daniel Haim followed by winning the CA$500 Mini Main for CA$185,000, and Moss has now completed the hat-trick by winning Event #3.
That means Canadian players have won each of the first three completed ring events at the WSOP Super Circuit Canada.
The Mini Main produced an all-Canadian top 13, while the Mystery Bounty has now followed with Canadians occupying every position in the top 12 shown in the WSOP LIVE results. WSOP's public results page has already officially confirmed Haim's Mini Main victory, 3,484 entries and a CA$1,289,503 prize pool.
Canada Circuit Championship Moves to Flight 1B
While Moss celebrated his victory, Event #4, the CA$2,300 Canada Circuit Championship, was already underway.
Flight 1A began Monday, August 31. Players receive 40,000 starting chips, with 40-minute levels, and the tournament carries a CA$500,000 guarantee.
At the time of publication, a reliable complete Flight 1A chip count was not available through the publicly accessible official sources checked by CanadianPoker.com. Rather than publish an incomplete leaderboard as though it represented the complete field, those stacks will be added once they can be verified.
Flight 1B begins Tuesday, September 1 at 11 a.m. local time, giving players their second opportunity to advance.
Survivors will eventually combine to determine the fourth ring winner of the inaugural Canadian Super Circuit.
Monster Stack PLO Begins Tuesday
Tuesday also brings the first Pot-Limit Omaha ring tournament of the series.
The CA$1,500 Monster Stack PLO begins at 3 p.m. local time with a CA$75,000 guarantee.
It gives players another option alongside Championship Flight 1B as the festival moves toward its busiest stretch.

The enormous fields and Canadian performances have already made the opening week a major period for live poker in Canada, but the biggest tournament of the festival is still to come.
CA$10 Million Main Event Is Next
Wednesday, September 2 adds Event #6, the CA$1,000 Progressive Bounty, carrying a CA$150,000 guarantee.
Then comes the centrepiece of the entire festival.
The CA$5,000 WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event begins Thursday, September 3 at Playground with a remarkable CA$10 million guarantee.
The official WSOP schedule features multiple Main Event flights through September 6, after which the surviving field will continue its pursuit of one of the most significant live poker titles ever offered in Canada.
Playground's inaugural Super Circuit runs from August 26 through September 12, with 18 WSOP Circuit ring events and more than CA$14 million in guarantees.
For now, Canada remains perfect in the winner's column. Proulx, Haim and Moss have captured the first three completed rings, while Championship Flight 1B and the Monster Stack PLO provide the next opportunities to keep that streak alive.
