Austrian player Bernhard Binder captured a $10,000,000 prize at WSOP Paradise. He outlasted 2,891 runners in the largest guaranteed tournament ever.

Bernhard Binder is the champion of the $25,000 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event. Mario Mosböck recently named him as a breakout player.

Binder proved the prediction correct at the World Series of Poker Paradise. The 27-year-old won $10,000,000. This victory secured his first gold bracelet.

The Austrian pro previously won $1.8 million in the GGMillion$ Main Event. This live score is much larger than his online success.

He defeated Jean-Noel Thorel in a long heads-up match. The session took nearly four hours to finish. Thorel and Binder represented the age extremes of the table.
Other players at the final table included Eric Wasserson and Natasha Mercier. Terrance Reid was also present in the final nine. Binder discussed the style of his opponent in an interview. He noted that Thorel creates many unexpected situations. This made the heads-up match a unique test.

The event set a record with its $60 million guarantee. Total entries for the tournament hit 2,891. A few participants used more than a dozen bullets to play. The total prize pool grew to $72,275,000. This is the largest guaranteed prize pool in poker history.
