Benny Sarnelli won his first WSOP Circuit ring by taking down the Mini Main Event at WSOP Circuit Calgary January 2026. The series also saw Bradley Bishop claim a first ring in the Mystery Bounty event.

Benny Sarnelli earned his first World Series of Poker Circuit ring after winning the Mini Main Event at the WSOP Circuit Calgary in January 2026.

Sarnelli defeated Samson Mesenegeeshik heads up to close the large field tournament that attracted players from across Alberta and nearby regions.

Mini Main Event Final Table Breakdown

The Mini Main Event final table included Skyler York, Michael Khan, Michael Malm, Regan Duong, and Harp Padda. Chip leadership changed hands several times as play progressed.

Michael Malm and Michael Khan began the final table with the largest stacks. Malm dropped early, which allowed Khan to control play through five handed action and into four handed play.

At four handed, stacks shifted repeatedly. Skyler York was eliminated first at that stage. Khan remained in front but soon fell to the bottom of the counts as Benny Sarnelli built momentum. Khan doubled once but could not recover further and finished third.

Mystery Bounty Event Delivers Another First Ring

The Mystery Bounty tournament at WSOP Circuit Calgary also produced a first time ring winner and extended deep into the night due to a large field and slow eliminations.

Mystery Bounty's Final Table Session

The event ran close to 15 hours from start to finish. The final table remained six handed for several levels, with average stacks near ten big blinds once the field narrowed.

After Benny Bruneau exited in sixth place shortly before 6 AM, eliminations accelerated and the tournament ended within the next hour.

Several players faced schedule pressure. Harp Padda, who finished fourth, and champion Bradley Bishop both returned later the same day for Day 2 of the Mini Main Event. Bruneau and Jack Vaccarello planned to play the Seniors event on Sunday morning.

Bradley Bishop secured his first WSOP Circuit ring in the Mystery Bounty event. Available records indicate this may be his first documented live tournament cash, though results could exist under a different name.
The opening events of WSOP Circuit Calgary January 2026 also crowned early champions, including Shawn Johnson, Mehmet Siginc, and Claire Leclerc.
