October 1–13, 2025 brought one of the most memorable editions of WSOP Circuit Calgary, with the festival awarding over $5 million in prize money across 18 events. Held at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Alberta, this October series marked its largest scale yet, attracting thousands of entries and delivering high drama from start to finish.

Major Highlights & Ring Winners
Travis MacMillan Triumphs in the Main Event - In the crown jewel of the festival, Travis MacMillan outlasted a field of 910 to claim the Main Event ring and CA$312,965 in first prize.
In the heads-up battle, MacMillan faced Victor Li, staging a comeback after trailing in chips.
The defining hand came when Li jammed on the river with two pairs, but MacMillan hero-called with trip kings to seal the win.
His victory not only earned him a WSOPC ring but also a coveted seat to the Tournament of Champions.
Ring Winners Across the Slate
Kyle Ho captured his third WSOP Circuit ring by winning Event #8: $1,000 NLH (364 entries, CA$318,500 prize pool) for CA$68,673.
Harpreet Gill earned his first live ring in Event #11: $1,000 NLH Turbo, taking down CA$35,195 after a blistering final table.
Nicholas Lee shipped the $400 Mini Main Event, defeating 1,668 entries and earning CA$75,190 — his fourth WSOPC ring.
Other winners included Quinn Kannekens (Mystery Bounty), Angelo Gambrelis (Seniors NLH), and Stephen Dauphinais (Mixed T.O.R.S.E.), each securing career-defining victories.
Additional events such as the $250 Flip & Go, $400 PLO Bounty, $400 Ladies NLH, and the $3,500 High Roller also crowned champions, completing a diverse and thrilling festival schedule.
Monster Stack & Turbo Drama
Event #10: $400 Monster Stack NLH drew 1,203 entries, generating a CA$377,141 prize pool, and produced intense battles across two days of play. Taeyoon Kang led the field into Day 2 before the final table showdown reshaped the leaderboard.
In the $1,000 NLH Turbo, Harpreet Gill claimed first place after a fast-paced final table that saw aggressive plays, rapid eliminations, and a wire-to-wire finish that thrilled spectators and competitors alike.

Deep Runs & Surprise Results
Several big names made deep runs but fell short of ring glory. Gabriel Vezina finished 8th in the Main Event for CA$31,696, while Ruoxiao Shi and Arya Ghai also notched strong finishes.
