WSOP-C Playground Spring 2025 Poker Festival Highlights and Schedule
- WSOP-C Playground Spring 2025 festival in Kahnawake, Quebec has started and will run to April 8th.
- 18 events with over $3,300,000 in guaranteed prize money, including a $1,700 Main Event with $1.5M guarantee.
- Entry fees are attractively low for many events, encouraging high participation and a thrilling poker scene.
The WSOP-C Playground Spring 2025 festival, held in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada (just outside Montreal), is underway from March 24th to April 8th. The festivities will feature 18 events with over $3,300,000 in guarantees, including the $500,000 guaranteed Colossus.
WSOP-C Playground Spring 2025: Poker Action Underway in Montreal Area
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) is in full swing at Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada. The event, which has seen early poker action already, will run from March 24th to April 8th, 2025.
A significant festival on the Canadian poker scene, the tournament features 18 events with over $3,300,000 in guarantees. This includes a $1,700 Main Event with a $1,500,000 guarantee, the $3,300 High Roller with $300,000 guaranteed, and the $300 Colossus with a $500,000 guarantee.
Looking at the entry fees and the prize pools, it's clear that the poker tournaments aim for high participation. The entry fees are, in fact, a little on the low side when compared to some other poker festivals.
Early Focus is on The Colossus
Assuming a 10% rake on the entry fee for The Colossus (which is cheap), the tournament would need 1852 participants to make the guarantee without the casino kicking in money. That explains why the venue has offered tons of Day 1 seats (ie. Day 1A, Day 1B, and so forth). With 11 launch pads for the tournament and a $300 entry fee, mass participation was definitely in mind.

March 26th: Day 1E (8:00 AM), Day 1F (3:00 PM)
March 27th: Day 1G (8:00 AM), Day 1H (3:00 PM)
March 28th: Day 1I (8:00 AM), Day 1J (3:00 PM)
March 29th: Day 1K (8:00 AM)
It will all build up to this weekend's Day 2, featuring the survivors from the above entry ports.

Later Tournaments: Almost Nothing But No Limit Hold'em
Following The Colossus, the poker continues. Events include the $400 Monster Stack (Event #2) on March 30th, the $400 Senior Event 50+ (Event #3) on March 31st, and the $600 Mega Stack Mystery Bounty (Event #7) on April 1st. There is also a Ladies' Only tournament.
But I poked through the formats for each tournament. Notably, Event #8 on April 1st stood as the only non-No Limit Hold'em tournament that I found. It is a $600 Pot Limit Omaha four-card event, offering a $50,000 guarantee.
