Nick Schulman won the $100,000 Triton Jeju II Main Event for $3,854,888 after defeating Bernhard Binder. Matthew Wantman won the $50,000 NLH 7-Handed event, while Ben Tollerene captured the $50,000 Turbo Bounty Quattro title at Jeju II, adding American winners.
Nick Schulman has won the $100,000 Triton Jeju II Main Event, defeating Bernhard Binder heads-up to claim the title and a $3,854,888 first-place prize. The American emerged from a field of 196 entries at LES A Casino in Jeju, with the result marking the biggest single cash of his career to date.
The Main Event generated a $19,600,000 prize pool, with Schulman securing the title after a final table that included players from the United States, Austria, Lithuania, China, Japan and Serbia.
Schulman entered the final stages of the tournament alongside Bernhard Binder, Gytis Lazauninkas, Xu Yang, Ryuta Nakai, Isaac Haxton, Danilo Velasevic, Wesley Fei and Roberto Perez.
The final table saw Binder make an early impact, while Fei lost a significant portion of his stack in a cooler against Xu Yang. Fei eventually finished eighth, followed by Velasevic in seventh.
Haxton was eliminated in sixth place by Binder, while Nakai finished fifth after losing to Schulman. Yang then fell in fourth place before Schulman eliminated Lazauninkas in third, setting up the heads-up contest against Binder.
Schulman began heads-up play with a considerable chip lead, but Binder narrowed the gap after winning several significant pots, including two successful bluffs.
The two players had reached a heads-up deal, with Binder receiving $3,080,112 for second place and Schulman collecting $3,854,888 as champion.
The Jeju victory adds another major title to an already extensive poker résumé. Schulman is an eight-time WSOP bracelet winner, a two-time WPT champion and a Poker Hall of Famer.
The 41-year-old had already spent more than two decades playing poker and now adds a Triton Main Event championship to those accomplishments.
Matthew Wantman Adds Another Jeju II Title
Schulman's victory was not the only American title run at Triton Jeju II. Matthew Wantman won the $50,000 NLH 7-Handed event for $836,721, securing his first Triton title.
Wantman defeated fellow American Nick Schulman heads-up after the pair reached the final two
alongside Ben Tollerene.
The tournament attracted 70 entries from 49 unique players and created a $3.5 million prize pool. Schulman finished second for $810,279, while Tollerene took third for $448,000, producing an all-American top three.
Wantman and Schulman agreed to a heads-up deal before continuing to play for the title and an additional $30,000. Wantman ultimately secured the title and the additional prize to finish with $836,721.
Ben Tollerene Captures Fifth Triton Title
Tollerene also collected a title during the Jeju II series, winning the $50,000 Turbo Bounty Quattro.
The one-day event attracted 35 entries, with the final six players guaranteed payouts.
Tollerene defeated Daniel Rezaei heads-up after overcoming an approximately 4:1 chip deficit at the start of the final duel.
Tollerene earned $412,000 for the victory plus $240,000 in bounties, taking his total payout to $652,000. The victory was his fifth Triton title.
Canadian player Mike Watson finished sixth in the event for $84,000, while Rezaei finished runner-up for $465,000 and Biao Ding placed third for $241,000.
The three results give the Triton Jeju II festival a strong American presence across its high-stakes events.
Schulman claimed the headline result by winning the $100,000 Main Event for $3,854,888. Wantman captured the $50,000 NLH 7-Handed tournament for $836,721 and his first Triton title, while Tollerene won the $50,000 Turbo Bounty Quattro for $652,000 including bounties.
For Schulman, however, the Main Event victory stands apart as his largest tournament cash to date and adds a Triton Main Event championship to one of the game's most decorated résumés.
Nick Schulman's victory closes out the Triton Jeju II Main Event with a $3.85 million payday, while the titles won by Wantman and Tollerene add two more American victories to the series.
