Keating Turns the Marathon Into a Sprint With a $2.08M Pot
- Alan Keating wins a $2 million pot on Hustler Casino Live.
- He joined mid-game, bypassing warm-ups, and played fearlessly.
- Table reactions ranged from silence to shock, especially for a major loss by Steve.
Most players warm up during a 24-hour livestream. Alan Keating skipped that part entirely and went straight to collecting seven-figure pots. Midway through Hustler Casino Live’s “Million Dollar Marathon,” he sat down for his usual splashy cameo and promptly scooped one of the largest pots ever seen on a poker broadcast.
The game was a $500/$1,000 no-limit hold’em lineup built for absurdity, featuring Sam “Senor Tilt” Kiki, Nik Airball, Brandon Steven, Steve, Turbo Nguyen, Martin Kabrhel, Peter Wang, and eventually Stanley Tang. Keating arrived with a casual $1 million buy-in and little interest in subtlety.
The Hand That Broke the Chat Window
Brandon Steven opened the action to $4,000 with8♥10♥. Keating flatted with10♣10♦. Kiki joined with8♠9♥, Steve completed with9♦J♦, and Kabrhel took the discount with6♣J♣.
The flop10♠J♠J♥gave three players the sort of hands that normally make the highlight reel.
Steve led out his standard teaser bet of $1,000 holding9♦J♦. Kabrhel, with the lower kicker, called. Steven couldn’t resist peeling. Keating, now sitting on a full house, bumped it up to $25,000.
Steve called, still unfazed, and Kabrhel sprung a $69,000 raise. If Keating had written this script himself, it wouldn’t have been more convenient.

Keating called. Then Steve ripped it $784,500 with trips. Kabrhel tank-called for $421,000, locking himself in as the middle man in a very expensive sandwich. Keating, covering everyone, called without ceremony.
They ran it twice. Neither runout helped9♦J♦or6♣J♣, and Keating dragged every last dollar of the $2,082,000 pile.
The table reactions ranged from stunned silence to existential dread. Kabrhel, normally incapable of silence, produced it. Steve packed up a million-dollar loss and headed for the door.
Aftermath of a Wrecking Ball
Keating’s stack ballooned past $2 million, Nik Airball was also printing, and several players were left calculating how long they needed to meditate before reentering society.
HCL promised 24 hours of action. Keating condensed the best part into one hand.
