Two-Time World Champion Hanh Tran joins Gods of Poker

October 2025 – Gods of Poker (GOP) has named two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Hanh Tran as its new Mixed Game Advisor, signaling a strategic shift toward deeper multi-variant integration within the brand’s evolving Cronus Structure.

A renowned force in mixed-game circles, Tran captured his first bracelet at the 2018 WSOP $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw in Las Vegas, followed by another in the €550 Pot Limit Omaha 8-Handed event at WSOP Europe. With his proven mastery of draw, stud, and rotation formats, Tran’s appointment underscores GOP’s ambition to elevate its mixed-game offerings on a global stage.

Lloyd Fontillas, General Manager and Executive Tournament Director for Gods of Poker, highlighted why Tran’s expertise was vital for the brand’s upcoming live events. 

“I’ll admit, I don’t know enough about the finer details of mix game rulings and formats. That’s exactly why I wanted Hanh on board—to help us build these games properly, from structure to rulings, ensuring fairness and excitement. He’ll also participate in our mix game event to test and refine the Cronus structure firsthand.” 

Tran’s advisory role aims to ensure that GOP’s tournament formats are not only balanced and engaging but also consistent with international standards for mixed games. 

Speaking about his new role, Hanh Tran praised the organization’s innovative approach.

The Cronus Structure, GOP’s proprietary tournament system, prioritizes efficiency, competitive balance, and time management. With Tran’s guidance, the same principles will now extend to mixed-game events such as Omaha, Triple Draw, Dealer’s Choice, and 8-Game Mix. 

GOP’s initiative aligns with the rising interest in mixed games throughout Asia, especially in Japan and South Korea, where player communities are increasingly exploring more complex poker variants. 

Gods of Poker’s first-ever festival, Eden Awakens, will take place from December 5–14, 2025, at Les A Casino (formerly Landing Casino) in Jeju Shinhwa World, South Korea. 

The ten-day celebration blends poker, entertainment, and innovation—featuring diverse tournaments ranging from Hold’em and Omaha to specialized mixed-game events.

Buy-ins range between ₩500,000 (~USD 370) and ₩1,600,000 (~USD 1,180), making the festival accessible to both mid-stakes and high-level competitors.
