GGPoker Ontario begins a C$100K freeroll series with weekday events and payouts in Cash Dollars. Mega Mondays award C$5,000 while other days offer C$1,000. The plan runs until mid February and is open to all players with no entry cost.
GGPoker Ontario has opened a new freeroll series that distributes C$100,000 across weekly tournaments. The structure mirrors the global freeroll model on the dot com platform. The goal is to give Ontario players direct access to no buy in events during the winter cycle.
The global room recently introduced a $100,000 weekly freeroll. Entry to that event requires qualification through daily freerolls or real money play. Ontario players now receive a dedicated path of their own.
The new series started in the middle of the month and will continue until mid February. GGPoker has stated that the schedule could be extended depending on response.
Weekly Structure Runs Monday To Friday
The Ontario freerolls take place every weekday. Monday carries the largest event of the week. Each Monday tournament runs as a Mega edition with C$5,000 guaranteed. All other weekday events award C$1,000.
The weekly total forms the backbone of the C$100,000 pool. The events are open to every player on the provincial platform. There are no hidden conditions. There is no deposit requirement. No buy in is needed.
Prizes Paid Out In Cash Dollars
The prize pool is awarded through Cash Dollars. Cash Dollars can be used to buy into cash games. They cannot be withdrawn directly. Players who win Cash Dollars can enter any eligible cash game or move them into other formats that accept the currency.
This structure allows GGPoker Ontario to drive traffic toward core formats without requiring financial risk from players. The operator has used this model in past promotions.
Event Format And Payout Structure
Each freeroll begins with a 10,000 chip starting stack. That equals 100 big blinds at the opening level of 50 or 100. Levels move every five minutes. This keeps tournaments from running too long while avoiding overly rapid finishes.
Each event pays out 20 percent of the field. That means a freeroll with 1,000 entries will deliver 200 paid places. The operator has set a minimum of 30 players and a maximum field of 5,000 players for every event.
The field size cap allows the freerolls to stay stable while preventing late registration spikes that could distort play time.
Freerolls As A Proven Entry Path For New Players
Freerolls have served as a long running tool in online poker. Early platforms such as PokerStars and Full Tilt relied on freerolls to expand their user base. PokerStars added four $1 million freerolls in 2016 and previously scheduled quarterly freerolls for its top tier VIP members.
Other Freeroll Promotion
GGPoker’s global Weekly Freeroll awards $100,000 each Saturday. Entry requires qualification. The series does not have a fixed end date and may remain a recurring feature.
The operator is also running a separate campaign in the UK and Ireland. New players who join between October 1 and November 30 can enter the £2K Face Off Freeroll. These events take place every weekday at 8 PM UK time. The launch runs alongside a marketing campaign with comedian Johnny Vegas.
Ontario Players Receive Direct Access With No Conditions
The GGPoker Ontario freerolls do not require sign up triggers. They do not require deposits. Any provincial player can join once registration opens. This gives local players a direct path to build a bankroll inside a closed market without taking financial risks.
With C$5,000 available each Monday and C$1,000 offered through the rest of the week, the full C$100,000 pool is distributed entirely through free to enter tournaments. The structure is designed to hold through February but could be extended.
For many players in the province, the series presents a chance to join the platform, compete in regular events and build early funds without paying an entry fee.
