Summer Super Stack
The 2026 Summer Super Stack was supposed to be finished on Sunday. Jo Teliani and Pav Braich apparently had other plans.

After nearly two weeks of tournament poker at Calgary’s Deerfoot Inn & Casino, the $1,500 Main Event stretched deep into Monday morning with Teliani and Braich still battling heads-up. The series had already crossed the $1 million mark in combined prizes by the final weekend, with Michael Malm, Ronnie Dattani and Glenn Tarasoff among the other players leaving Calgary with titles.

Teliani and Braich Take the Main Event Into Monday

The $1,500 Super Stack Main Event drew 294 entries, creating a $377,055 prize pool with 29 places paid. The eventual champion is set to receive $86,722.

Fifty-five players returned for Day 2 on Sunday, with Mehmet Siginc holding the chip lead ahead of Daniel Lefebvre, James Harnden, Sam Gottiparthi and Teliani. The field continued shrinking well beyond midnight before Teliani, Braich, Julius Roque and Harnden made up the final four.

Teliani at one point controlled more than seven million chips, roughly half of those in play. Braich then eliminated Harnden in fourth and Roque in third to set up the final duel. Roque earned $37,706, while Harnden collected $30,164.

Heads-up has already swung in both directions. Teliani held roughly a two-to-one advantage before Braich doubled with pocket eights and later flopped a straight to move ahead. Reduced to around 500,000, Teliani responded with a double of her own when queen-nine turned two pair. As of the latest report at 3:50 a.m. local time, the title remained undecided.

Tarasoff and Razzaq Split the Megastack

One of the biggest completed tournaments of the series ended considerably more amicably.

The $560 Megastack attracted 353 entries and generated $167,676 in prizes. Thirty-four players returned for Day 2 before Glenn Tarasoff and Ali Razzaq worked their way through to heads-up.

With the blinds already at 80,000/160,000 and the stacks relatively close, the pair agreed to split the remaining $61,663. Tarasoff held the chip lead and therefore took the official title, while both players received $30,832. Daniel Lefebvre finished third.

The Megastack was the second-largest completed event of the series by field size, behind only the early $340 Deepstack.

Malm Tops 517-Entry Deepstack

Michael Malm claimed one of the first major scores of the festival in Event #3, the $340 Deepstack.

Its three starting flights generated 517 entries and a $147,345 prize pool. Malm reached the final three alongside Vincent Chahley and Frank Gallie, at which point the trio struck a deal.

Malm was leading when discussions began and took the official victory for $25,210. Chahley collected $17,755 and Gallie $17,377. The latter benefited particularly from the agreement, with Malm giving up part of the original first-place money as the final three reshaped the payouts.

Other Summer Super Stack Winners

The Calgary series covered considerably more than its three multi-day NLHE events. Ronnie Dattani won the $1,000 6-Max for $24,898, Remy Bhend added a HORSE title, and Dylan Skiffington took down the $600 PLO.
