  • CoinPoker's CGWC runs Apr 6-May 3, 2026 with no rake games.
  • $10,000 buy-in required, with $50/$100 blinds and 50% added to prize pools.
  • Three-stage format: Group Stage, Semi-Finals, and Grand Final.
Cash Game World Championship

The high-stakes lobby at CoinPoker is about to get significantly more crowded. The platform has set April 6 through May 3, 2026, as the window for its Heads Up Cash Game World Championship (CGWC). For players looking to enter, the barrier to entry is straightforward: a $10,000 buy-in and the appetite for $50/$100 blinds.

This is a dual-format challenge, offering separate titles for No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha, and notably, the house is stepping aside entirely by hosting all championship hands 100% rake-free.

The Cost of Competition

Entering the CGWC requires more than just a seat at the table. Participants are mandated to buy in for $10,000, with a strict requirement for 100-big-blind reloads ($10,000) to keep the stacks deep and the action consistent.

To incentivize the field, CoinPoker is matching 50% of all player buy-ins and adding that sum directly to the leaderboard prizes. This means for every $10,000 entry, $5,000 in added value is injected into the overall reward pool.

Championship Phases

The tournament is structured as an endurance test across three distinct calendar blocks:

  • The Group Stage (April 6 – 19): Players are seeded into groups for rotating matches. Each match lasts between 1,250 and 1,875 hands.

  • The Semi-Finals (April 20 – 26): Survivors move into a 2,000-hand elimination bracket.

  • The Grand Final (April 27 – May 3): The final two players in each format face off in a 2,000-hand marathon to determine the winner.
