MSPT Returns to Playground Poker for Canadian Poker Championship 2025

The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) will make its return to Canada this October, partnering with Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec. The tournament series is scheduled from October 9 to October 19, 2025, and will feature the Canadian Poker Championship.

A central highlight of the upcoming series is the $1,150 buy-in Main Event, which comes with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. 

This marks one of the largest guaranteed events in the country scheduled for Q4 2025 and adds to Playground’s recurring calendar of international poker tournaments.

This will be the second time the MSPT hosts its flagship Canadian tournament at Playground Poker Club, following its previous successful outing. The series is expected to draw a mix of domestic and international players seeking to compete for a share of the seven-figure prize pool.

Playground Poker Club functions as both a premier live poker venue and a full-service gaming and leisure complex. Players can access cash games ranging from low to high stakes, participate in tournament series, or engage in gaming machine play. 

Dining venues and lounges cater to diverse tastes, while amenities like valet parking and massage services offer additional convenience. 

Its role as host to international series and reputation for large jackpot funding positions Playground as a major player in Canada’s poker industry.

The full tournament schedule for the MSPT Canadian Poker Championship 2025 has not yet been released. It is anticipated that the series will include a variety of side events alongside the Main Event, potentially including bounty tournaments, turbo formats, and satellite qualifiers.
