Alan Keating stunned fans on High Stakes Poker with a fearless $657K hero call against Doug Polk. The PokerGO livestream hand has become an instant classic, showcasing Keating’s unshakable confidence at the highest stakes.

Alan Keating reaffirmed his reputation as one of poker’s most fearless players during a recent High Stakes Poker livestream on PokerGO.

In a $657,200 pot against Doug Polk, Keating’s instinct and refusal to back down created one of the most talked-about hands of the season.

The hand served as a teaser for the upcoming Season 15 of the iconic series and brought together a popular cast of Jennifer Tilly, Andrew Robl, Santhosh Suvarna, Cary Katz, Sam Kiki, and Justin Gavri.

For nearly six hours, viewers witnessed relentless $200/$400 no-limit hold’em action, enhanced by straddles and jaw-dropping pots. Yet the defining battle of the night belonged to Keating and Polk.

How the Hand Began

The hand kicked off with Doug Polk, co-owner of The Lodge Card Club in Texas, opening the action from the button to $4,000 with K7 suited.

Justin Gavri, seated in the small blind and holding AJ, responded with a sharp three-bet to $20,000.
Alan Keating, sitting in the big blind, looked down at 42 suited, a hand that most players would quickly fold. But Keating is known for testing his opponents’ resolve rather than his cards.

Instead of mucking, he called. Polk then decided to escalate with a four-bet to $75,000. Gavri released his hand, but Keating, true to form called once more, ready to see a flop.

Building the $657K Pot

The flop rolled out 45Q, connecting perfectly with Keating’s bottom pair. Both players checked initially, until Polk seized the initiative with a $35,000 continuation bet. Keating called without hesitation, setting the tone for a daring call-down that would follow.

The turn came J, a neutral card for both players. Again, Keating checked. Polk fired a second barrel worth $70,000, maintaining pressure.

Keating paused briefly and made another call, unwilling to surrender despite his marginal holding. The river 3 completed the runout. Keating checked a third time, leaving Polk with $137,000 behind.

Recognizing that his king-high couldn’t win at showdown, Polk opted for full aggression and shoved all-in.

The Hero Call Heard Around the Poker World

Faced with a massive decision for his entire stack, Keating took his time before making a stunning call with just a pair of fours.

His read proved spot on as Polk’s bluff was instantly exposed. The table erupted, and Keating scooped a jaw-dropping $657,200 pot.

The call not only showcased Keating’s uncanny ability to read opponents but also reinforced why he’s such a fan favourite among viewers of both High Stakes Poker and Hustler Casino Live.

What’s Next on PokerGO

Fans won’t have to wait long for more action. PokerGO has scheduled the second and final High Stakes Poker livestream for Sunday at 4 p.m. PT, promising another session packed with big personalities and massive pots. Given Keating’s fearless track record, few would bet against him making headlines once again.
