Stake Poker introduces the World KO Championship from June 28 to July 20, 2026, featuring over $1,000,000 in guarantees. The knockout-only series includes a $100,000 Main Event and Bye Day Specials with prize pools boosted by football goals.
Stake Poker has announced its largest tournament series to date, aligning with the knockout stages of the summer football tournament.
The World KO Championship is scheduled to run from June 28 to July 20, 2026, offering more than $1,000,000 in total guaranteed prize pools. Every event featured throughout the 23 days of play will utilize a knockout format.
Players can participate in multiple daily tournaments featuring standard Knockouts, Progressive Knockouts (PKOs), and Mystery Bounties, where eliminating an opponent awards their bounty.
The tournament schedule is structured around the football calendar, ensuring that no World KO Championship tournament starts while a match is being played.
Players on Stake Poker can access the full lineup of events within the dedicated World KO Championship section of the poker client lobby.
Registration for standard events opens 48 hours before the scheduled start time. Players are permitted to re-enter tournaments, with a maximum limit of 10 re-entries per player.
Buy-ins for the series range from $5 to $50, and participants can enter using cash or an equivalent-value ticket.
The daily schedule includes $10,000 PKOs and $10,000 Mystery Bounties. Additionally, the series features accelerated formats such as Speed Run PKOs, Deepstack Turbos, and Big Knockout Turbos.
The series features three primary headline segments that anchor the overall schedule:
- The $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event: This phased tournament features a $20 buy-in. Players can compete in any Day 1 flight throughout the series. Each Day 1 flight concludes when 15% of the starting field remains. The event operates under a Best Stack Forward Policy, meaning only a player's highest qualifying chip stack will carry over into the finale on July 20.
- Bye Day Specials: Five headline tournaments are scheduled on the football rest days, specifically July 8, 12, 13, 16, and 17. Each event is a $30 Progressive Knockout with registration remaining open for a full 12 hours. Registration for these specific events opens 12 hours prior to the start time.
- Mystery Bounty Special: Scheduled for July 18, this standalone tournament features a $50 buy-in and a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The five Bye Day Specials feature an expected individual prize pool of $135,000 to $145,000 each, combining for an anticipated total of over $705,000.
These specific prize pools are tied to the concurrent football tournament, where the baseline guarantees will increase by $500 for every single goal scored across the World Cup.
