CoinPoker Responds to Reddit Accusation with Evidence of RTA Use

A Reddit post accusing CoinPoker of freezing and confiscating a 10,000 USDT account stirred debate in the online poker world this week but the conversation quickly shifted after the site’s ambassador stepped in with some unexpected receipts.

The post, made by a user under the handle Far_State_8335, described an allegedly abrupt ban tied to real-time solver assistance (RTA). The user denied any wrongdoing and shared screenshots, hand histories, and their personal account of the situation. While some commenters expressed support and frustration, others pointed out inconsistencies and held off judgment.

That judgment came swiftly. CoinPoker first issued a formal statement standing by its decision and referencing its internal compliance policies. Then, days later, ambassador Mario Mosböck went public with data to back it all up.

Mosböck shared three specific hands that aligned, down to the second, with solver inputs on GTOWizard. The flagged hands, according to CoinPoker’s internal investigation, showed strong correlation with real-time decision-making aids. The timing, board texture, and player actions all matched known solver usage patterns.

That was enough for CoinPoker’s integrity team to finalize the ban and redistribute the confiscated funds to affected players.

CoinPoker originally declined to share case-specific details but confirmed its openness to regulatory oversight. Once Mosböck took to social media, though, the tone changed. His post showed both confidence in the detection process and frustration that the site’s integrity team had to respond to Reddit accusations without context.

CoinPoker says it will continue to avoid public disclosure of internal detection techniques unless necessary, citing the need to protect its tools and future investigations. But it made an exception in this case due to the public nature of the accusations and the strength of the data.

In October, CoinPoker also banned multiple accounts for using seat-scripting tools, citing similar investigations. In both cases, the site redistributed funds and reinforced its zero-tolerance stance on cheating.
