The Step 1 to the Stake Showdown is set to give players a route to a $10 Step 2 Ticket through a low buy-in NL Hold'em satellite tournament scheduled for September 17, 2026 on Stake Poker.
The qualifier is scheduled to begin at 1:30 AM UTC and carries a $0.50 buy-in, with the same $0.50 cost applying to re-entries.
The tournament is listed as a satellite tournament and has a starting stack of 5,000 chips, with levels running for 5 minutes each.
The prize for winners of the Step 1 tournament is a $10 Step 2 Ticket to the Stake Showdown. The displayed guaranteed prize is 100. The tournament allows a minimum of 11 players and a maximum field size is 10,000 players.
Late registration is available for 1 hour. Players can make up to 98 re-entries, with every re-entry carrying the same $0.50 buy-in as the initial entry.
The tournament uses an 8-player table size, while the final table size is listed as 9 players.
At the time shown, the remaining players figure is listed as 0/5.
The Stake Poker qualifier combines a $0.50 entry price with a stated $10 Step 2 Ticket prize, while maintaining a short five-minute blind-level structure. Its additional ticket-entry option provides another way to enter the satellite.
The tournament is scheduled for September 17, 2026, at 1:30 AM UTC, with registration and re-entry option available.
The Step 1 tournament therefore serves as the listed qualifying stage for players seeking a $10 Step 2 Ticket to The Stake Showdown.
