Saskatchewan has one of the more active live poker scenes in the Prairies, anchored by Casino Regina's dedicated poker room and its recurring tournament series, with smaller rooms running at Dakota Dunes Casino near Saskatoon and Casino Moose Jaw.

On the online side, the province runs its own regulated platform through PlayNow, operated in partnership with the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA), alongside international sites available to eligible Canadian players.

This guide covers the live rooms, the current state of PlayNow's poker product, a verified notable player from the province, and the legal framework behind it all.

    Live Poker in Saskatchewan

Poker Room Location Operator or Key Offering
Casino Regina Regina Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation (SaskGaming); 10-table poker room, cash games and three annual tournament series
Casino Moose Jaw Moose Jaw SaskGaming; poker room open daily, Limit and No Limit Texas Hold'em, No Limit Omaha
Dakota Dunes Casino Whitecap First Nation, near Saskatoon SIGA; poker room open daily from 5:00 p.m., mainly $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em

Casino Regina, at 1880 Saskatchewan Drive, runs the province's biggest poker operation. Its Poker Room is open from noon until 4:00 a.m.

Sunday through Thursday and until 6:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, spreading Limit games from $1/$2 up to $100/$200 and No Limit games from $1/$2 up to $10/$25, along with Omaha Hi-Lo and Dealer's Choice.

The room hosts weekly Tuesday and Wednesday No Limit Hold'em re-entry tournaments with Playoff Pool bonuses, plus three recurring series each year: the Station Poker Classic (typically around March), the Diamond Poker Classic (June 9 to 13 in 2026) and the Harvest Poker Classic (November 10 to 14 in 2026, with registration opening September 1).

Past Harvest Poker Classic Main Event winners include Lyndon Knutson, Brett L. and John H., and in March 2026 Toronto-based WSOP bracelet winner and WPT champion Mike Leah won back-to-back events at the Station Poker Classic for a combined $132,223, before finishing runner-up to Teco Bird in the series-ending event, a result covered in our Canadian poker tournaments guide.

Players can reserve a table by calling the Poker Room directly at 306-787-2950, with private games bookable at least four days in advance.

Casino Moose Jaw, at 21 Fairford Street East, runs a smaller poker room within its 12,000-square-foot gaming floor. The room is open daily from noon and typically runs $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em alongside Limit and Omaha Hi-Lo games, with tournament reservations for Tuesday and Wednesday night events taken over the phone at 306-694-3888.

Dakota Dunes Casino, at 204 Dakota Dunes Way on the Whitecap First Nation about 20 minutes south of Saskatoon, spreads live poker in a room that typically opens at 5:00 p.m. and runs into the early morning, with $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em as the standard cash game and occasional $2/$5 action.

Both Casino Regina and Casino Moose Jaw are operated by the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation (SaskGaming), a Crown corporation, while Dakota Dunes Casino is one of the seven casinos run by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA).

Saskatchewan's own tournament calendar, especially Casino Regina's Diamond and Harvest Poker Classics, draws players from across the Prairies, and travelling Canadian pros occasionally make the trip, but for the country's largest guarantees, Saskatchewan players more often travel to stops covered in our WSOP Circuit Canada hub, including Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary and Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec.

    Online Poker in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan is one of only three provinces with a locally licensed online poker product. PlayNow.com launched in the province on November 3, 2022, under a vendor agreement between the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and SIGA, with SaskGaming also part of the arrangement.

SIGA operates the customized PlayNow skin for Saskatchewan residents, while BCLC supplies the underlying platform and, for poker specifically, acts as the service provider named in SIGA's own player agreement.

Live dealer games and poker were added to PlayNow Saskatchewan in a later phase after the initial casino and sports betting launch.

Reporting on whether Saskatchewan's poker traffic is fully merged into the wider Canada Poker Network, the shared liquidity pool that already links British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec's OK Poker, has been inconsistent across secondary sources, so this page does not state a specific current pool status, players should confirm directly on PlayNow before assuming shared or province-only tables.

Saskatchewan does not have an open, multi-operator regulated market the way Ontario and Alberta do; PlayNow holds the province's only local licence, while everything else Saskatchewan residents use is an international site operating outside provincial licensing.
