Red Shores Racetrack and Casino, at 58 Kensington Road in Charlottetown, is the only venue in Prince Edward Island offering live poker. Red Shores' own casino page confirms the room's return: "Red Shores is pleased to offer the return of Poker and Roulette to our brand-new casino floor."
Poker currently runs Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until close, Friday from 6:00 p.m. until close, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until close, with no poker spread Sunday through Wednesday.
Red Shores Charlottetown's full gaming floor also includes more than 150 slots, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Baccarat. The property is managed under Atlantic Lottery Corporation's regional casino framework, the same structure covered in our Nova Scotia and New Brunswick province guides.
Red Shores Summerside, at 55 Greenwood Drive, is PEI's other Red Shores location, but its gaming floor is limited to video lottery terminals and table games such as Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Baccarat on a reduced weekend schedule. It does not currently offer poker.
Because Red Shores Charlottetown is the province's only poker room and runs just three nights a week, PEI does not have the kind of standing tournament series found in provinces with multiple casinos. Players chasing bigger series and guarantees typically travel off-island to stops tracked in our Canadian poker tournaments hub.
Online Poker in Prince Edward Island
PEI's regulated online gambling comes through the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, the same operator serving New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. ALC's platform includes digital instant games, iBingo and its iCasino product, but it does not offer a dedicated online poker room.
