From Triton Triumph to Wynn Resilience: Xuan Liu’s 2025 Poker Highlights

In May 2025, Canadian poker player and content creator, Xuan Liu, made poker history when she became the first woman to win a Triton Poker Super High Roller Series title at the 2025 Montenegro stop. In a No Limit Hold'em tournament, she conquered the $25,000 WPT Global Slam, outlasting a field of 155 entries to claim a career-best $860,000 (US) and the coveted Triton trophy.

Liu took a small break after that win. But is still fairly fresh off this triumph, she competed this past weekend in the $3,000 No Limit Hold’em Ladies High Roller at the Wynn Summer Classic in June 2025. The event drew 76 entries, generating a $206,720 prize pool.
Liu finished 7th, earning $9,199, a solid result in a competitive field led by Dusti Smith ($61,335) and Xinyi Hong ($38,243).

In a tweet on June 7, 2025, Liu (@xxl23) reflected on her performance, noting the event was her first live multi-table tournament since Triton. She described the “disarming” level of play, humorously lamenting that “every overbet bluff” was called and “every lookup wrong,” yet she fought hard to secure a top-tier finish.

The 2025 Wynn Summer Classic was hosted in Las Vegas. Given her momentum, fans are eager to see if she’ll compete at the 2025 World Series of Poker, currently underway in Las Vegas. Time will tell.
