  • Two cashes totaling $105,477 with no final tables signal a slow opening.
  • Her fans anticipate better poker or luck ahead.
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen, Canada’s five-time WSOP bracelet winner, has had a quiet 2025 WSOP with two cashes totaling $105,477, falling short of her usual dominance. Her subtle start fuels anticipation for a potential comeback in Las Vegas.

Kristen Foxen’s Quiet 2025 WSOP: A Subtle Start for a Poker Star

Kristen Foxen, Canada’s poker titan with five WSOP bracelets, is a force in her country and on the international stage. She is known for dominating high-stakes fields and has some impressive wins on the PokerGo Tour this year. Foxen also had an amazing run in the 2024 WSOP Main Event.

Yet, her 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas has been subdued so far. She has added to her total cashes at the World Series of Poker, but with just two cashes and no final tables, her fans will only be hoping that the best is yet to come.

Foxen’s Modest Cashes and Canada’s WSOP Buzz

Foxen’s first cash came in Event #11, the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty 8-Handed bracelet tournament, where she finished 43rd for $17,506. Her second cash was in Event #22, the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller 6-Handed, placing 13th for $87,971. These $105,477 in earnings are solid but pale in comparison to her 2024 WSOP performance, where she made history with a 13th-place Main Event finish, earning $600,000 in that tournament alone. For a player of Foxen’s caliber, the 2025 WSOP results so far feel like a whisper.

What’s behind this quiet start? It's probably just poker's variance and the fact that the events she enters are high-stakes ones at the WSOP, meaning they are loaded with other sharks. You have to think that if she entered some of the smaller tournaments, like the $1500 entry fee events, she might be seeing some final tables.

So far, Canada’s poker scene in Las Vegas has buzzed with unknown Zachary Zaret’s bracelet win and Daniel Negreanu’s deep run in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo tournament. When she finds her rhythm and gets a little bit of luck, the poker world will take notice.
